John Neumann creates works that seem to defy gravity. “The schools and movements which have most influenced my work are Abstract Expressionism, Constructivism and Cubism. The lessons I learned from these influences are simplification of form, economy of line, the importance of negative space and from Calder a sense of wonder and playfulness,” noted John.
Sol 3 was selected for the prestigious El Paseo Sculpture Project, Palm Desert CA. The piece will be installed in November 2016.
